Revenue share

TikTok Shop does not ban you.
It deactivates you one listing at a time.TikTok Shop creator channel management on revenue share, for supplement and cosmetics brands in the UK, France and Germany.

Every seller on TikTok Shop starts with an Account Health Rating of 200 points on a scale of nought to a thousand. Points come off for prohibited products, for miscategorisation, for incomplete product information, for claims. At 150 you cannot withdraw funds for seven days. At 100, fourteen. At 50 your shop's transactions are prohibited outright. At nought the account is permanently deactivated.1 Nobody sends you a warning shot before the first deduction.

Most brands do not lose the channel in a single ban. They lose it by listing eight products against a category rulebook they have not read, watching four of them get deactivated, appealing the wrong way, and quietly deciding TikTok Shop does not work for their category.

So we took the retainer out. We set your shop up properly, we list your first eight products so they clear, we run the creator channel, and we take ten per cent of what the shop actually sells. If it sells nothing, we invoice nothing.

No retainer. No monthly minimum. Three month term. Compare this with the fixed-fee packages.

The five things that stop brands

None of these are creative problems.

Every one of the below is published policy. None of it is a judgement call by a moderator having a bad day. This is the part agencies skip because it is not fun, and it is the part that decides whether you have a channel in ninety days.

WhatThe ruleWhat it costs you
The category gateFood supplements are a By-Application product in the EU. You cannot list until an application is approved, and the application needs your Food Business Operator registration document plus HACCP certification, submitted through Seller Center's Qualification Centre.2 Cosmetics are Restricted rather than By-Application: listable once packaging and label images showing all sides are accepted.2Weeks, if you start the application after you have built the listings instead of before.
Sell Across EUBy-Application products can only be sold in the seller's source shop. TikTok states plainly that they must not be listed for other shops opened using Sell Across EU, and that doing so is prohibited.2Your supplement range cannot be pushed from one EU shop into another. Cosmetics can. If your plan assumed one shop serving three markets, it does not work for supplements.
The claims rulebookA health claim is legal only if it is authorised and "the wording is used exactly as approved, no modification or paraphrasing". "Prevents colds", "cures fatigue" and "boosts metabolism for weight loss" are given by TikTok as prohibited examples.3 For cosmetics, claims that do not comply with Regulation 655/2013 are banned outright.4Rewriting a live listing is cheap. Getting the claim wrong is a product compliance violation, and product compliance deducts Account Health points.
The disease keyword listTikTok publishes a named list of conditions that function as a takedown trigger anywhere in the listing, including images and video, not just text. It runs from AIDS and Alzheimer's through depression, diabetes and erectile dysfunction to stroke.5 Cosmetics have a parallel list: melasma, rosacea, hyperpigmentation, psoriasis, vitiligo, dermatitis, alopecia, eczema.5Naming any of them as something your product treats reclassifies it as a medicine. A medicine is not sellable on TikTok Shop.
GPSRSince 13 December 2024 every listing must carry manufacturer contact details, the EU responsible person where the manufacturer is outside the EU, and safety warnings, in the market's official language. TikTok's mechanism is reminder, then deadline, then product deactivation.6 A photo of a detached label is not accepted; the label must be attached to the package and visible.6Silent deactivation of listings that were selling yesterday.

Two categories that are simply dead, so you stop planning around them: weight loss supplements of any kind and sexual enhancement supplements of any kind are prohibited outright.3 Slimming is banned on two independent grounds, because Regulation 1924/2006 separately prohibits claims referring to the rate or amount of weight loss.7 No agency reopens either of those.

What the setup buys

  • A pass over your catalogue against the category rules in one market: what clears, what clears with a wording change, what will never be approved. In writing, per SKU.
  • The category application itself. Food Business Operator document, HACCP certificate, and the Qualification Centre submission for supplements. Packaging and label images from all sides for cosmetics.
  • Eight listings built to TikTok's published spec. Titles between 25 and 255 characters with no promotional language, no seller name, no reference to another platform and no special characters.8 Descriptions over 30 words, in the destination market's official language.8 Five or more images per product, minimum 800 by 800 pixels, square, main image free of text, logos, watermarks, borders and staging.9 One product video, 5MB maximum.8
  • Product compliance data filled in per listing: manufacturer, EU responsible person, safety warnings, allergens, period after opening, precautions. In the market's official language, because submitting it in the wrong language is itself a rejection reason.6
  • Seller Center configuration: category mapping, returns policy published, affiliate commission set before any creator is contacted.
  • A banned-words list for your team and for every creator brief, specific to your SKUs.

If you want to know what is missing before you talk to us, the readiness check is free and takes two minutes. Supplements or cosmetics.

Setup

£850 / €990

£850 in the United Kingdom. €990 in France and Germany. One off, once per brand, ex VAT.

Optional. If your shop is already live and your listings already clear, skip it. We will tell you if you can.

Why eight

Eight is enough to cover a hero, a bundle and the range around them, and few enough that every listing gets built properly rather than bulk-uploaded. Bulk upload is how miscategorisation happens, and miscategorisation is a listing quality violation that costs Account Health points.1

The arithmetic

Ten per cent is not free. Here is where it stops working.

Our fee comes out of the same order the platform fee, the creator commission, your cost of goods and your fulfilment already came out of. Below a certain order value there is nothing left for it to come out of. So here is the line, and it is drawn against us.

Minimum average order value for the channel to clear 20% contribution after our fee
Gross marginMinimum AOVVerdict
60%£50Bundle or do not start
62%£41Bundle
65%£32Workable on a bundle
70%£24Workable
75%£19Works on a single unit
80%£16Works

Assumes TikTok's 9% category commission inclusive of VAT,10 a 20% creator commission, £4.50 fulfilment per order and a 4% return rate. It assumes every order is creator-driven, which is the harshest case: an order that arrives without a creator attached carries no creator commission and clears easily. Change any input and the line moves. We will run it on your actual numbers before either of us signs anything.

A £38 bundle at 75% gross margin. TikTok takes £3.42. The creator takes £7.60. Cost of goods is £9.50, fulfilment £4.50, returns £0.56. You keep £12.42. We take £3.80 of that and you keep £8.62, which is 22.7% of the order. On a £20 single unit at the same margin you keep £4.32 before us and £2.32 after, which is 11.6%, and that is a channel that is not worth your warehouse time. This is why we ask about average order value in the first email and not the fourth.

Before anything goes live

What has to exist on your side.

Until these exist there are no listings, so there is no shop, so there are no creators and no commission. We are not being difficult. Every item below is either a legal requirement or a platform requirement, and none of it is something we can do on your behalf.

Blocking. Nothing starts without these.

  1. 1A TikTok Shop account registered to the correct legal entity. Company registration and tax number matching, identity document for the representative, company bank account.
  2. 2Cosmetics: a CPNP notification for every SKU, a Cosmetic Product Safety Report, and a named Responsible Person established in the EU. The Responsible Person's address goes on the label, which means entering a second market is a repackaging job, not a filing job.
  3. 3Supplements: proof of notification to the national authority, Food Business Operator registration, and current certificates of analysis. In Poland the Food Business Operator registration must be filed at least fourteen days before you start trading and you cannot begin until the confirming document arrives.11
  4. 4GPSR data for every product card: manufacturer, and the EU responsible person where the manufacturer sits outside the EU.6
  5. 5Visual assets per SKU: five or more square images at 800 by 800 or better, main image with no text, logo, watermark, border or graphic over the product, plus one product video under 5MB.89 Creator video is a separate thing and we brief that.
  6. 6Affiliate commission set in Affiliate Center before outreach starts. We require a minimum of 15%. That is our threshold, not TikTok's: TikTok permits anything from 1% to 80%.12 Below 15% the creators who convert do not answer.
  7. 7A sample pool of twenty to thirty units held in the warehouse, shipped by courier. TikTok Shop does not support parcel lockers. Product and postage are on you.
  8. 8A thirty day returns policy published on the shop.

Operational. During the work.

  1. 1Customer messages answered inside 24 hours on working days. TikTok's Customer Service Policy requires a 24-Hour Response Rate above 90% and takes enforcement action below it.13 Auto-replies do not count as responses.13 From 22 July 2026 the performance score measures this as IM Dissatisfaction Rate and After-Sales Handling Time instead.14 The obligation did not get softer.
  2. 2Stock cover of at least ten days on every SKU in the campaign. Running out is a seller-fault cancellation and it is scored.14
  3. 3A named decision maker who answers inside 48 hours to approve listings and creator scripts.
  4. 4Your own materials follow the same banned-words list we give the creators. A claim on your website that we would reject in a creator brief is still a claim.

What sits outside this

  • Product, sample and postage costs.
  • Creator flat fees and any paid media budget.
  • TikTok Shop's own platform commission.
  • Obtaining CPNP, CPSR or national notification documentation, and preparing labels. We tell you what is missing. We are not your regulatory consultant and we do not sign as your Responsible Person.
  • Any product we have flagged as non-clearing until the wording, the formulation or the documentation changes.

Ten per cent of net shop GMV. Nothing else.

Net shop GMV. Everything the TikTok Shop sells in the month, after returns, refunds and cancellations, excluding VAT. Whole shop, not creator-attributed only. We bill against TikTok's settlement report, not against a number we produce.

Term. Three months from the day the first listing goes live. Thirty days' notice either way after that.

Creator ownership. Creators we source and onboard stay our relationship for twelve months after we stop working together. Creators you brought are yours. It is in the contract in plain language.

FAQ

Questions we get asked.

Why ten per cent of the whole shop and not just creator sales?

Because the alternative is an argument every month about what counts. Creator-attributed GMV depends on an attribution window we do not set and cannot audit, and the moment a video goes viral and a customer buys three days later through search, we would be arguing about it. Whole shop is a number TikTok publishes and both of us can read. It also means we care about your returns rate and your listing quality, not only about the creators, because all of it lands in the same figure.

We already sell on TikTok Shop. Are you charging us for revenue we already had?

Yes, for the part that already existed, and you should push back on that. Two answers. First, if your baseline is meaningful we will agree it in writing before month one and bill on the increment instead. Second, if your baseline is meaningful you are probably better off on a fixed roster subscription than on a percentage, and that is a different conversation which we will have honestly.

At what point does this get expensive?

Somewhere between £40,000 and £75,000 a month in net shop GMV, depending on how large your creator roster is, a fixed monthly subscription costs you less than ten per cent does. We will tell you when you cross that line. We would rather move you onto a subscription than have you work out on your own that we stopped being good value four months ago.

What happens if TikTok deactivates a listing anyway?

We appeal it, once, which is all TikTok permits per enforcement action, and the appeal window is 180 days. Appeals need documentation, not argument. If the deactivation is because a document you were asked for in week one still does not exist, we will say so.15

Can you get our Account Health Rating back up?

Not directly. Points recover two ways: they expire 180 days after the violation, and you earn four points per two hundred finished orders, capped at twenty points a week. So the recovery is trading cleanly for months. Anyone offering to fix your Account Health score faster than that is describing something that does not exist.1

Do we have to buy the setup?

No. If your shop is configured, your category application is through and your listings clear, the setup buys you nothing and we will tell you that on the first call. If you want it, it is £850 or €990, once.

You have no case studies in this channel.

Correct, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. TikTok Shop launched in Poland, Austria, Belgium and the Netherlands on 15 June 2026, and this service is newer than that. What we have is the compliance work, the warehouse relationship and a fee structure that pays us nothing if the shop sells nothing. That is the whole of the argument. If you need to see a competitor's numbers first, wait six months and ask us again.16

One thing we should say before the form.

Brands fail at this by sending fifty samples out of the office and getting eleven videos back. Ten per cent does not fix that. What fixes it is the sample programme's posting obligation, which gives the creator fourteen days to post a public video that stays up for at least three days, or to run a LIVE that produces at least one sale, and marks the sample unfulfilled if neither happens.17 That is a mechanism. Goodwill is not.

And the honest limit of a revenue share: it aligns us on volume, not on your margin. We are paid on what the shop sells, so a month where you discount hard to move stock is a good month for our invoice and a bad month for your P&L. The protection against that is the contribution arithmetic above, agreed before we start, and your right to leave after three months. Not our good intentions.
