Cosmetics are not gated.
They are deactivated afterwards.

Cosmetics are a Restricted product, not a By-Application one, so nobody stops you at the door. You list, you sell, and then a listing goes down because the label image did not show the Responsible Person's address, or because a claim named a skin condition.2 The gate is invisible until you fail it.

Twelve questions. Nothing is sent anywhere and there is no email gate. At the end you get a verdict, the exact rule behind every item you failed, and the order to fix them in.

Switching resets your answers. The two rulebooks share almost nothing.

Question 1 of 12

The product

Does any product contain a prohibited or over-limit ingredient, or fall into a banned type?

Tretinoin. Hydroquinone. Minoxidil or any medical hair growth product. Teeth whitening at or above 0.1% hydrogen peroxide, or containing sodium perborate. Skin whitening products. Injectables. Anything labelled "professional use only". Anything ingested or inhaled rather than applied to the skin.

TikTok grounds this list in the UK Cosmetics Regulation and EU Regulation 1223/2009, and it is a listing ban rather than a documentation problem.2
